Following a long purgatory, it appears that Americans are finally re-gaining their confidence in the economy, according to a new survey from NBC News and The Wall Street Journal.
Per the survey outcomes, 31% of Americans think the economy will strengthen in the subsequent 12 months, which is the highest such percentage in 2014 even far more encouraging, only 17% of Americans assume the economy will worsen, the best results since June of 2013.
At the same time, though, Americans are not feeling so hot about the general direction of the nation: the percentage of Americans who feel we’re heading in the wrong path remains unchanged at 64%.
Housing is the Economy; the Economy is Housing
Sure, those aforementioned financial stats are not explicitly related to the housing market, but it’s critical that we don't forget how integrated housing is to overall economic confidence. The purchase of a new home is normally the most important financial decision of someone’s life, and their general confidence in the economy and the country will feed into their choice to buy that new home.
